VERIFICATION OF EXPERIENCE


1.
Teachers - May bring to our district actual classroom teaching experience within the United States. It is their responsibility to request this experience of their former employer(s) and assure our receipt. A verification of experience form is available if needed.
2.
Teacher Assistants - May be paid on all actual teacher assistant experience verified. It is their responsibility to request this experience of their former employer(s) and assure our receipt.
3.
All other Non-Certified Positions - Non-Certified employees may bring a maximum of three years like experience with them. It is their responsibility to request this experience of their former employer(s) and assure our receipt.
4.
All Positions - Employees will be paid on experience submitted to our office for the year in progress. Retro pay is not permissible for previous years for certified or non-certified per the Office of Financial Accountability of MS Dept. of Education/Attorney General Opinion.

IF ISSUED A PROPER LICENSE BEFORE OCTOBER 15TH, CONTRACT WILL REFLECT TEACHER PAY FROM HIS/HER START DATE FOR THAT YEAR. LICENSE ISSUED ON OR AFTER OCTOBER 15TH WILL BE BASED ON THE LICENSE VALID DATE. LICENSED PERSONNEL RECEIVING AN UPGRADE IN LICENSURE WILL BE PAID ON SUCH UPGRADE EFFECTIVE WITH THE VALID DATE OF THE LICENSE. VALID DATES AFTER FEBRUARY 1ST WILL NOT BE RECOGNIZED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING YEAR'S CONTRACT. REFERENCE DISTRICT POLICY DJC.
