ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND CELEBRATIONS: Superintendent's Attendance Awards and Celebrations were presented as shown on page 95A.

Dr. Lisa McCartney introduced Catherine Lippe, Community Based Teacher. Ms. Lippe presented the board with information on the program for the Special Education students transitioning from High School into the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and the work force.

Laura McCool presented the current Workers Compensation report indicating a 60% reduction in reported accidents and injuries.

Revised Policy IHA - Student Promotion and Retention, Grading and Reporting: Board Member Dickerson expressed concern that the proposed policy change would result in poor student handwriting skills. Ms. Tonya Green explained that state testing requirements no longer emphasize handwriting skills and the district needs to spend more time focusing on state Department of Education requirements. Motion by Board Member Turner, second by Board Member Tootle, to approve the Revised Policy IHA - Student Promotion and Retention, Grading and Reporting, with the following vote taken,
