ELEY GUILD HARDY

Bus Barn / Maintenance Facility: Jennifer Seymour, Eley Guild Hardy, requested that the board award the bid for the St. Martin Bus Barn to J.W. Puckett. Scott Smith, J.W. Puckett, stated that his company is concerned with increased prices from their sub-contractors. When board awards the bid J.W. Puckett can lock in the subcontractor prices at the current rates. Board Chairman Fountain and Mr. Smith agreed to wait until March 27, 2009 for the bid to be awarded.

Blue / Gold Building Discussion: No action taken.

Architectural Service of Vo-Tech Roof Repair: A motion was made by Board Member Turner, second by Board Member Dickerson to approve the architectural service for Vo-Tech roof repair, with the following vote taken,

f.y.i. St. Martin Upper Elementary and St. Martin Middle Schools Field Report: As shown on page 62D. Shows substantial completion, no cost to Jackson County School District, no impact to students, no grounds to pursue liquidated damages. No action taken.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES and PRODUCTS PRESENTATION: As shown on page 62E. Dereck Abraham, Educational Services and Products, presented an overview of his company's service. Board Chairman Fountain asked for an assessment of the Jackson County School District to be present at the May 11, 2009 board meeting.

f.y.i. Letter from Office of the State Auditor: As shown on page 62F. No action taken.

JACKSON COUNTY UTILITY DISTRICT DOCUMENT #36350: As shown on page 62G. Board Chairman Fountain asked that a representative from the Jackson County Utility District appear at the April 16, 2009 board meeting for further discussion on this matter. Board Chairman Fountain asked Jack Pickett to contact the Secretary of State's Office to request a representative from their office also attend this meeting. Board Member Turner suggested that if a representative from the Secretary of State's office is not available that the meeting be video taped and sent to the Secretary of State's office for their recommendation in this matter.

Permission to Obtain a Quote from Eley Guild Hardy for Service to do the Preliminary Drawings for the 5 Year Plan: Board gave permission to Dr. Amacker to move forward with this item.
