The Jackson County Board of Education met in Regular Session on Monday, June 02, 2005, at 5:00 p.m. at the Jackson County Board of Education Building, 12210 Colonel Vickrey Road,Vancleave, Mississippi.

APPROVE APPLICATION TO LEASE - KYLE MALLETTE: (No action - presented for Board consideration thirty days prior to board action)

DISCUSSION OF MONEY AVAILABLE WITH ALL BUILDING PROJECTS: Mr. Robinson presented to the board information to go along with the St. Martin East and St. Martin North additions and alteration bids as shown on page 134-K. Mr. Robinson did not recommend to the School Board that Yates Construction be used as owner representative for the Vancleave Middle School project. This recommendation was because of lack of money. The School Board, after a lengthly discussion with Mr. Paul Musick and Mr. Robinson, recommended that the Superintendent meet with Yates Construction and negotiate a new fee structure.

ST. MARTIN EAST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS: Motion by Turner, second by Sims to approve D& D Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest bid in amount of $1,489,000 as shown on page 134-L, with the following vote taken:

During the summer the student will work on Nova Net until the completion of classes has been met. The first 45 days of the 2005-2006 school year the student will attend the Alternative School. If the student fails to complete the work on Nova Net for the completion of classes during the summer, transportation will be provided by the parents to East Central, with the following vote taken.
