The Jackson County Board of Education met in Regular Session on Monday, April 9, 2007, at 5:00 p.m. at the Jackson County Board of Education Building, 12210 Colonel Vickrey Road, Vancleave, Ms 39565

APPROVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN JCSD / ST. MARTIN HIGH SCHOOL / GRACE CHURCH GULF COAST: Motion by Sims, second by Turner to approve the agreement between Jackson County School District / St. Martin High School and Grace Church Gulf Coast as shown on page 111-D. With the exception that Mr. Pickett check to verify that Grace Church Gulf Coast and Fellowship Church are the same and he is also to verify they have liability insurance coverage, with the following vote taken:

A. RESCIND MOTION APPROVAL: Motion by Turner, second by Dickerson to approve the rescinding of a motion made on January 12, 2006 for the approval of the rent adjustment due to lease expiring and reappraisal of land for new lease agreement - William J. and Erline C. Tait due to an incorrect appraisal value combining the entire 5 acres of land, as shown on page 111-E, with the following vote taken:

David Hardy presented an update on the St. Martin Attendance Center Proposed Conversion of the Blue and Gold Buildings as shown on page 111-H

UPDATE ON BUILDING PROJECTS

Verbal approval was given by the Board for a contract with Studio South and for Studio South to move forward with the design phase for the new St. Martin High School Building. The board asked the board attorney and Rucks Robinson to review the written contract and present at the next board meeting.
