The Jackson County Board of Education met in Regular Session on Monday, December 11, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. at the Vancleave High School, 12424 Highway 57, Vancleave, Mississippi

CURRICULUM PRESENTATION - VANCLEAVE UPPER ELEMENTARY:

Penny Westfaul, Principal of Vancleave Upper Elementary School and Lori Price, Assistant Principal presented to the board a presentation on Vancleave Upper Elementary's Supplemental Reading Program. The purpose of this reading program is to help eligible students meet achievement standards on the national, state, and local levels. It also helps to increase success levels and self-esteem for struggling readers.

RESCIND MOTION FROM NOVEMBER 13, 2006 FOR RESOLUTION TO CANCEL LEASE - FLATWOODS HUNTING CLUB: Motion by Turner, second by Tootle to approve the request to rescind the motion from November 13, 2006 for the resolution to cancel lease - Flatwoods Hunting Club, with the following vote taken:
