The Jackson County Board of Education met in Regular Session on Monday, November 13, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. at the St. Martin North Elementary School, 16308 LeMoyne Blvd, Biloxi, Mississippi

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS AND CELEBRATIONS: The following individuals, teams and groups were recognized by administrators for recent achievements and accomplishments and were acknowledged by the Board, as shown on page 20-A

CURRICULUM PRESENTATION - ST. MARTIN HIGH SCHOOL AND ST. MARTIN NORTH ELEMENTARY:

Teachers from St. Martin High School and St. Martin North Elementary Schools presented to the board a presentation on how the permethain boards are utilized in the classrooms. These boards are very useful and well liked by both the students and the teachers.

Mrs. Farrington, St. Martin High School business teacher, shared with the board how well her students participate in the MS Stock Market game.

OPEN WORKMANS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS: As presented, shown on page 20-B. The board asked Mr. Lucas for the next report to be presented in March 2007

SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS - HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AND MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPALS / HIGH SCHOOL / MIDDLE SCHOOL: Mr. Robinson asked permission from the school board to work with Margaret Bush to develop a policy implementing the use of school resource officers to become effective in January or February 2007. The boards recommendation is to move forward and develop a policy and once completed the board will review.

APPROVE ST. MARTIN - WEST JACKSON COUNTY UTILITY DISTRICT REQUEST: The boards recommendation is to conduct research on the property to see if the right of way is currenty being leased.

APPROVE RENT ADJUSTMENT DUE TO LEASE EXPIRING AND REAPPRAISAL OF LAND FOR NEW LEASE AGREEMENT - JCBS - LANDFILL: Motion by Turner, second by Sims to approve the rent adjustment due to lease expiring and reappraisal of land for new lease agreement with the annual rental amount of $15,750.00, as shown on page 20-I, with the following vote taken:
