The Jackson County Board of Education met in Regular Session on Monday, October 8, 2007, at 5:00 p.m. at the East Central High School, 21700 Slider Road, Moss Point, Mississippi

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS AND CELEBRATIONS: The following individuals, teams and groups were recognized by administrators for recent achievements and accomplishments and were acknowledged by the Board, as shown on page 16-A

CURRICULUM PRESENTATION - EAST CENTRAL LOWER ELEMENTARY: Teresa Bankston, Physical Education Teacher presented to the board a curriculum powerpoint presentation on the wellness goals for our children. She demonstrated different activities the students participate in during her class time. The students learn how to and the importance of monitoring their heart rates.

APPROVE AMENDED BUDGET FY08: Harold Rushing, Business Manager presented to the Board an Amended Budget for FY08. Motion by Dickerson, second by Turner to approve the amended budget as presented, shown on page 16-B, with the following vote taken:
