The Jackson County Board of Education met in Interim Session on Monday, June 23, 2003, at 5:00 p.m., at the Board of Education Building, 12210 Colonel Vickrey Road, Vancleave, Mississippi.

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by chairman, Kenneth A. Fountain. Board member Tootle gave the invocation, and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by board member Turner.

AARON MASTERS - COMPTON ENGINEERING: Aaron Masters of Compton Engineering presented to the Board an update on the progress of plans to connect St. Martin High School lift station to the West Jackson County Utility District sewer system. He will advertise for bids and report back to the Board at the next meeting, July 14, 2003, with bid recommendations.

USED TRUCK PURCHASE- EAST CENTRAL: Motion by Owenby, second by Sims, to approve purchase of a used truck for East Central, $500.00, East Central District Maintenance funds used, from East Central Volunteer Fire Department, with the following vote taken:
