* Talk about homework with your child
Know your rights.
* You have the right to see
progress reports on your child and the school.
* You have the right to request information about your child's
teacher's qualifications.

* The federal government provides

Two types of programs offered by Title I:
* Schoolwide Title I programs - serves all students in a school. Where at least 40 percent of the
children meet certain income guidlines. Vancleave Lower Elementary
School operates under a schoolwide Title I program.
* Targeted assistance programs - serves to ensure that eligible students receive assistance
to meet performance standards.

* Smaller classes
* Counseling and mentoring
