Valentine Ball 2012

Important information:

• Funds raised by the 4th graders will go into the 4th grade account, and funds raised by the 5th graders will go into the 5th grade account. Funds will be used to defray costs of AR field trips and positive behavior incentives.
• Students wishing to vie for King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Duke or Duchess of the ball will pay a $10.00 entry fee. Parents of the students are responsible for raising money. A selling schedule will be worked out for participants to sell at recess. No candy or sugary items are allowed. Please see the approved snack list in the handbook.
• Permission slips due: January 20th
• Funds are due by 3pm on Thursday, February 9th, 2012. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Funds are to be submitted in the form of a cashier's check or money order. Cash and personal checks will NOT be accepted.
• The boy and girl with the most money overall will be crowned king and queen respectfully. The remainder of the court will be determined by the amount of money that has been raised. Those honors will be determined by (one each from 4th , 5th, special area, Mrs. Martino, and Mrs. Honeycutt).
• Girls in the court are to wear dresses
• Boys in the court are to wear slacks, shirts, and ties. Formal attire is not required.
  

About the Valentine Ball

• Admission to the ball is $5 per person (participants are free)
• Music will be provided by a DJ
• Photographs will be taken and available for purchase
• Snacks and drinks will be sold
• The ball will be held Friday, February 10 in the SMUE cafeteria. The dance will be held in the gym following the presentation of the court
• Doors open at 6pm
• The court will walk at 6:30
• Dance ends at 9pm
• Families are welcome and encouraged to attend!!
