Senior Award's Day
The class of 2015 received over 7.5 million dollars in scholarship and financial aid offers. Congratulations and best wishes to each and every one of you.
FBLA State Competition
St. Martin High School students attended the FBLA State Leadership Conference at the Marriott Downtown Jackson in April. Students were eligible to attend the conference by competing and placing 1st – 6th place at the district level. While at the conference, students competed at the state level and attended leadership workshops.
St. Martin had the most students invited to attend the State Competition and the most student qualify for Nationals. To qualify for national competition, students had to place 1st-3rd place in the competition category. The following students placed in the top six in their category:
Jakob Anseman 4th Place – Word Processing
DeAndria Turner 5th Place – Impromptu Speaking
With the following students placed in the top three and qualified to compete at national competition which will be held in Chicago, IL, June 29-July 2.
Tyler Mai 1st Place - Computer Problem Solving
Breanna Weems & Garrison Murphy 1st Place – Digital Video Production
Keoria Magee & MaKala Mims 1st Place – Public Service Announcement
Michelle Le, Brianna Ladnier, & John Karl Ford 1st Place – Local Annual Chapter Report
Michelle Le 2nd Place – Public Speaking
Christopher Marshall 3rd Place – Introduction to Information Technology
St. Martin High School received the Gold Seal Chapter Award, Michelle Le & Garrison Murphy were nominated Who’s Who for St. Martin High School, Michelle Le received the Jan Guyse Scholarship and Brianna Ladnier was elected the FBLA State President for 2015-2016. FBLA is a long standing organization at St. Martin High School which was established in 1969. Mrs. Ford took over as adviser in 2008 and the chapter has grown ever sense.
