PROCEDURES FOR MRS. FORD’S CLASS 

 


After you read the following procedures, take it home and have one parent sign also.  You will then place this signed paper in the very front of your notebook.

 

COMING INTO CLASS:
 

 

 


!    Enter the classroom quietly through the correct door.

!    Get your book and sharpen your pencil before the tardy bell rings.

!    Sit in your assigned seat.  If you are not in YOUR seat when the tardy bell rings you will be counted tardy.

!    Begin the bell ringer assignment on the board.

 

CLASS BEGINS THE MOMENT YOUR ENTER THE CLASSROOM!

THE CLASSROOM:
 

 

 


!    You do not have to ask permission to throw something in the garbage, to get a tissue or to sharpen your pencil.  Just use your common sense as to when you do these activities.  (i.e. not during group presentations or  when I am talking to the class.)

!    Be sure to read and follow all directions, whether on a test, in the book or oral directions.

!    When you turn in your work make sure that your name (first and last) is in the top right corner of the paper and you will also included the date and class period (unless told or directed otherwise).  If you name is not on your paper you will receive a zero on that work.

!    After reviewing a test, place it in your.

!    No outside diskettes, food, drinks, gum, candy, cosmetics, hair products, etc. are allowed in the classroom.

!    When you come into the classroom check your workstation immediately.  If there is anything wrong, write it down and give it to the teacher before class begins.

!    Please do not "roll" around the classroom while seated in your chair.  If you are caught rolling around, you will be punished.

!    Make sure your computer area is clean and your chair is placed back under the computer desk before leaving each day.

Employment Traits 

!    Learning the course content is essential; however, students need to be able to communicate and interact effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers in order to succeed on the job. The employee traits include evaluation of the student’s work ethic, attitude, lab participation, initiative, communication skills, problem solving ability, and professionalism. 

 

 

NOTEBOOK: 


!    You will need loose-leaf paper.

!    Your notebook will be graded at the end of the term.

!    You should always turn in your notebook at the end of class.

!    You should write assignments from the power point in your notebook each day.

 

LEAVING THE ROOM:
 

 

 


!    I dismiss the class not the bell.

!    When I dismiss you, make sure that the area around your desk is clean and your chair is pushed back under the computer workstation.

!    Exit the correct door.

MAKING UP WORK:
 

 

 

 


!    Make-up work must be completed in the time frame set by the student handbook.

 

 

EXTRA CREDIT WORK: 

 

 


!    Extra credit work will be allowed as follows:

!    Bring in 12 pencils (5 points)

!    Bring in an article relating to technology in the work place and prepare at least ½ page write up for the article including what your opinion of the article is.

!    Read a book on the approved reading list for your grade level and prepare a three (3) page report.

!    You can receive up to ten (10) bonus points per project and a maximum of two (2) projects per grading period.  (The two projects cannot be the same type project)

!    Extra credit projects are due no later than the Friday before nine weeks exams being.
