We crossed the Hurley Hustle 5K finish line to prove that no matter what the disability, anything can be accomplished!

This running group included special ed teachers, regular ed teachers, students, and community members who wanted to do something special to raise awareness for inclusion.

Why I Run for Inclusion

Ever since I took a job working with children who struggle to be "included" in a regular classroom due to learning, emotional, and physical disabilities...

I run for inclusion.
I run for my students.

Ever since my best friend's son was paralyzed in an accident at age 19, I have been inspired by his courage to live his life to the fullest in any way.

I run for inclusion.
I run for Rob.

Ever since my youngest daughter was born (prematurely) in 1982, and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 3 months of age, I have encouraged her to do and be anything she desires and not to let her physical challenges limit her life.

I run for inclusion.
I run for Jamie.
