Choral Director: Lindsey Beck

News from the Choral Department

The East Central High School Choral Department is preparing for a very busy schedule this year! We are made up of two Choirs: Tri-Tones (a three-part ladies' choir and Singers (a three-part mixed choir). There are a total of 26 students currently in the Department.
 Fundraisers
  • We are currently selling RADA Cutlery. Orders are due on August 31st. If you would like to place an order, see Mrs. Ditsworth or any Choir Student.
  • Upcoming Fundraisers include: Home Interior Candles and Pecans.
  • We are sponsoring a Car Wash on September 10th at Advance in Hurley and O'Reilly Auto Parts in Pascagoula. All proceeds will go toward the Choral Department's Spring Trip to Dallas, Texas

 Concerts

  • Our first Concert will be November 1st at 6:00 pm in the Cafetorium. This Concert will feature musical selections chosen by the Students. There will be a Sneak Peek during lunches on October 31st.

  • Our Annual Christmas Concert is on December 10th at 6:00 pm in the Cafetorium.
  • The ECLE and ECUE Pageants are Saturday, March 3rd. ECLE practice is February 28th; ECUE practice is March 1st.
  • The Spring Concert will be May 10th at 6:30 pm in the Cafetorium.

Spring Trip

This year's Spring Trip will be to Dallas, Texas. The Choir will be visiting the JFK Museum and singing at Texas Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. To raise money for this Trip, we are accepting donations from Businesses. If you or someone you know would like to make a Donation to the Choral Department, please contact Mrs. Ditsworth at lbeck@jcsd.k12.ms.us or 588-6117 during school hours. Recognition will be given to the Business in all of our programs this year: People's Choice, Christmas, Spring Concerts and Pageant.
