The Jackson County Board of Education met in Regular Session on Monday, December 10, 2007, at 5:00 p.m. at the Vancleave High School, 12424 Highway 57, Vancleave, Mississippi

The meeting was called to order at 5:02 p.m. by chairman, Kenneth A. Fountain. Board member Dickerson gave the invocation and Board member Sims led the Pledge of Allegiance.

CONSENT AGENDA: Motion by Turner, second by Sims, to approve the following items on the agenda as Consent Agenda Items, with the following vote taken:

CURRICULUM PRESENTATION - VANCLEAVE UPPER ELEMENTARY: Vancleave Upper Elementary Life Skills Teacher, Tammy Miller, presented to the board a curriculum powerpoint presentation. She demonstrated several styles of teaching to improve Social and Community Living Skills for her students.

APPROVE RESOLUTION: Motion by Turner, second by Dickerson to approve the Jackson County Board of Education Resolution, as shown on page 58-C, with the following vote taken:

Sixteenth Section

a. APPROVE RENT ADJUSTMENT DUE TO REAPPRAISAL OF LAND - CHARLES AND DANIELLE RODRIGUEZ: Motion by Turner, second by Sims to approve the rent adjustment due to reappraisal of land for Charles and Danielle Rodriguez. Section 16-6-7 consisting of .4 acres at $2,360.00 annually, which is 5% of the appraisal value, as shown on page 58-D, with the following vote taken:

b. APPROVE APPLICATION AND APPRAISAL FOR NEW LEASE AGREEMENT - JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RIGHT-OF-WAY 3 C ROAD: Motion by Tootle, second by Sims to approve the Application and Appraisal for the new lease agreement for the Jackson County Board of Supervisors Right-of-Way 3 C Road, as shown on page 58-D, with the following vote taken:

c. APPROVE RENT ADJUSTMENT DUE TO REAPPRAISAL OF LAND - TINA SMITH: Motion by Turner, second by Dickerson to approve the rent adjustment due to lease expiring for Tina Smith. Section 16-4-8 consisting of 5 acres at $1,400.00 annually, which is 5% of the appraisal value, as shown on page 58-D, with the following vote taken:

APPROVE AMENDMENT TO RIGHT-OF-WAY EASEMENT LEASE AGREEMENT - GERALD AND ANN WALKER PURDY: Motion by Turner, second by Toodle to approve the amendment to Right-of-Way Easement lease agreement for Gerald and Ann Walker Purdy to add to the lease the following individuals, Hal & Beth Simer, Kyle and Heather Mitchell, Stephanie and Allen Ferrell, Bruch Small, Susan and Eddie Russell, Kathy and David Keech, as shown on page 58-D, with the following vote taken:
